I am just trying to keep my options open. My key interest in a career is law enforcement. I am 18 years old and I have graduated from high school. I have been looking at my options recently and this has come up. I plan to be a police officer and work my way to SWAT, and I assumed being in the military would be the easiest route to that.

If anyone has any other suggestions as to what I should do to pursue my career choice of civilian law enforcement, please let me know!

I would love to go into philosophy, but my parents say there is no money in that career choice. I know I should live in reality, but I can’t be a dreamer?
