Thursday, September 9th, 2010

I’ve never been Baptised, and I do not know if I have been Saved either. Must I be Baptised to be cleansed of the Original sin, in order to be Saved? Also, what exactly does being Saved mean?

What religion is preaching the good news of the kingdom of God?

Matthew 24:14: And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

What point in evolution did humans begin to speculate our existance, and create religion?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

as I’ve learned, humans created religion as a way to explain why we existed…and other unknown things at the time. I’m just wondering at what point did humans gain the ability to even wonder why we are here? why not be like other animals and just live and procreate, rather than sitting around coming up with explanations to our existance? why did we evolve this way?
I know this could go in the biology section, I will repost it there later.

What is your perspective regarding the Ground Zero mosque?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

- Is it solely an issue of free expression of religion?

- Is it Machiavellian? (For those not familiar, one aspect of Machiavellian thought is that a conquerer should do one of three things: 1) devastate the state that has been conquered, 2) occupy the land, 3) allow the state to maintain its own laws, but charge taxes and establish an oligarchy. The third optioni is written in the Q’uran, but is not yet possible for Islam in the United States. Thus, is the ground zero mosque an action in accordance with the second?

If a supernatural event is described in a religious text, is that actual evidence the event occurred?

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Yes? No? Only when it’s your specific religion?

Earlier I asked if there was any evidence that "when Jesus was crucified, darkness came on the earth for 3 hours". Several people cited the bible as evidence. Are the religious texts of other religions also valid for the purpose of determining whether or not a supernatural event took place?

What is the procedure to take the legal action back which I have started against a person?

Friday, July 9th, 2010

I started a legal action again someone but now I do not want to have it continue, what is the best a safest way to take it back. Can the other person sue me back if I will take it back?
My suit was of civil nature and it was against a lawyer who passed on personal comments on my religion and ethical back ground. I do not want to have it continue and want to have it back all the charges.

I am looking for advice for a good charity to help the poor and wondering what people think of World Vision?

Monday, July 5th, 2010

I am not a Christian so would prefer a non-denomination organization or at least one that does not push a particular religion. The most important aspects are the percentage of money that gets to the people who need it and also promoting practices such as farming that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. I have been giving money to World Vision for years but when I see some of the pictures of the farming practices, I wonder how much planning is going into sustainable practices. Thanks.

Why is the religion of scientology allowed to be taught in public schools?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

If the US requires there to be a "separation of church and state" and scientology is now a religion, why is the beliefs associated with it allowed to be taught in public schools, but beliefs of other religions is not allowed to be mentioned whatsoever in public school? Is this not favoring one religion over another, thus, in a sense, forcing a religion on a person indirectly?

What religion are you, and how do you know that one is truth?

Friday, June 25th, 2010

Please do not just claim that it feels right. Every religion feels right to the people in it.
I mean, what proved to you that this is the one, true, guaranteed, truth?
An example of this is….
Muslims and Catholics are do not agree, and are opposites on several things, but both have people that believe in their religion so much that that will kill, and die for it. Both can not be true, so at least one, possibly both, feel right, but are not right.
Disregarding the "feeling right" what proof do you have that your religion is the truth?
